two most common reasons for Air Tests
Buying a home
Home inspections look for visible mold growth. Unfortunately this isn't the full picture. If a home has mold growth it doesn't just leave. It needs to be removed properly. Even if it was "washed" or "cleaned".
Persistent Illness
Mold exposure has been shown to cause or exacerbate the following issues; asthma, coughing, sore throat, sneezing, sinus infections, itchy or watery eyes, respiratory issues, headaches, muscle aches, fibromyalgia, neurological issues.
Air & Mold Tests Offered
If needed, we can run air-quality testing, tape testing, and ERMI testing to determine where the mold is in your home and how severe it is.
Air Quality Tests
Air quality testing is the most common form of testing in the industry, and usually requires a 75 lite air sample from inside the building that is pulled through a small filter.
Tape Tests
Tape tests are good for determining the type of mold present in your home but only captures a sample of visible mold as it works by literally taping a patch of mold to send off to the lab.
ERMI Tests
ERMI testing is the most accurate testing available, but also the most expensive. These tests are taken by pulling mold and dust from a carpet with a vacuum and filter system.
lab verified results
All tests are sent to a third party, accredited laboratory to verify the type and amount of mold spores found. Results for air and tape tests are typically received within 2-3 business days.
